"Together we can help to keep each other healthy and safe!"
Hi, my name is Mrs. Anne Owens. I am the school nurse here at Northeast Elementary. Our "Health Office" is found next to the main office. My hours are from 7:40am to 3:40pm every school day. Anytime you have a question about school health just stop in! I have been working in the Ankeny Schools for 6 years. I am an Iowa Hawkeye and Grand View Viking with degrees in Liberal Arts and in Nursing. I am also an Ankeny alumni. I've been a nurse for 14 years with most of my other experience coming from Blank Children's Hospital. I am a CPR instructor. My hobbies are piano, travel, scrapbooking, and enjoying my family. My husband and I have three children and a dog named Maia. We have a large extended family in which we enjoy sharing time with as well. I enjoy being a school nurse because I love to be able to help students feel better. I love teaching them to know when they are really sick or injured, or when they will be "OK". Part of school is learning about health and our bodies. Some days we feel 100% perfect and other days we do not, but we must keep on going! I love going into the classroom to teach health topics and related science when teachers permit. Some day these students may have a path that leads them to take care of us! Enjoy this day and many healthy days to come! CONTACT INFORMATION Anne Owens, RN BSN Northeast School Nurse (515)965-9620 anne.owens@ankenyschools.org Mrs. Owens' Iowa Pages Web-site | |
